From the Closest Station

Take the Japan Rail (JR) Nippo line to Hyuga-Sumiyoshi Station. From there, it is 10 minutes by taxi.
*Limited Express and Rapid Service trains do not stop at Hyuga-Sumiyoshi Station.

From Miyazaki Station
Take Miyazaki Kotsu buses number 17 or 18 to the Sheraton Grande Ocean Resort stop (25 minutes).
From the Sheraton Grande Ocean Resort, there is a free shuttle bus. Take the shuttle bus heading for the zoo (10 minutes).
Take a local train on the Japan Rail (JR) Nippo line to Hyuga-Sumiyoshi Station (11 minutes).
Take a taxi from the station to the zoo - "Fenikusu Dohbutsu En" (15 to 20 minutes).

From Miyazaki City
Take a Miyazaki Kotsu bus number 19 going to Phoenix Zoo from Tachibana 1-choume, Tachibana 3-choume, or Depato-mae. Get off at Doubutsu-En Mae (35-40 minutes).

From Miyazaki Airport
Take Japan Rail (JR) Miyazaki Airport line to Miyazaki Station (10 minutes).
Take Miyazaki Kotsu Airport bus to Miyazaki Station (33 minutes).
Take the Miyazaki Kotsu Seagaia direct express bus to the Sheraton Grande Ocean Resort (31 minutes)
Take a taxi from the airport to the zoo - "Fenikusu Dohbutsu En" (15 to 20 minutes).

From Miyazaki Port
Take a taxi to the zoo - "Fenikusu Dohbutsu En" (15 minutes).

By Car
From the Kyushu Highway Miyazaki Interchange, take the Hitotsuba Toll Road to the Sumiyoshi Interchange. It takes 15 minutes.

From the Nobeoka area, take Highway 10 to the Hitotsuba Toll Road to the Sumiyoshi Interchange. From Nobeoka, the drive takes about 2 hours.
After you pass the Sumiyoshi Interchange, it is one minute before you see the zoo's parking lot.
