〇Points of to keep in mind when seeing a doctor
Contact your family physician or nearest medical facility in advance, and take proper infection prevention measures such as wearing a mask when seeing a doctor.
If you choose to self-test, please use a government approved antigen test kit*.
*Test kits labelled "研究用" (for research use) are not approved by the government. Please make sure you use test kits that are labelled "体外診断用医薬品" (in-vitro diagnostic product).
〇If you have contracted COVID-19
・Avoid going out until 5 days after symptoms first appear and until 24 hours after symptoms subside.
・Wear a mask and avoid close contact with people at high risk of severe illness until 10 days have passed.
*For asymptomatic cases, the day of the test is considered day zero.
*If going outside is necessary, please make sure you have no symptoms and take infection prevent measures such as wearing a mask.

The following methods can be used to purchase a "体外診断用医薬品" (in-vitro diagnostic product) test kit.
<Purchase at a pharmacy>
Miyazaki Prefecture Pharmacists Association Website (external link / Japanese only) lists which pharmacies sell antigen test kits.
*Please call the pharmacy from which you would like to purchase from in advance as there may be times when stock is not available.
<Purchase online>
Use the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare website (external link / Japanese only) to check which kits have been approved before purchasing from an online store.
Regarding free testing
After transitioning to a Category V Infectious Disease, free distribution of antigen tests and free PCR & antigen testing conducted by Miyazaki Prefecture are no longer available.
In addition, testing done at medical facilities is covered by health insurance. (publicly funded assistance is no longer available)
If you have symptoms, please consult a medical facility about seeing a doctor and testing.
